RetroCam
This Privacy Policy explains how RetroCam (“RetroCam”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the RetroCam mobile application on iOS and Android (the “App”).
RetroCam is a creative camera app. We design the App so that your photos and videos stay on your device unless you choose to export or share them. We do not sell personal information.
To provide core features, the App may request permission to access:
Media you capture, import, grade, or export is processed on your device for the App’s features. We do not operate a RetroCam media cloud that uploads your photo or video library for storage by default.
If you purchase RetroCam Pro (Monthly subscription, Yearly subscription, or Lifetime one-time unlock), payments are processed by Apple App Store and/or Google Play. We do not collect or store your full payment card number.
We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status, entitlements, and purchase restoration. RevenueCat and the store platforms may process identifiers related to your purchases (such as App Store / Play receipt data, anonymous or app user identifiers, product identifiers, and subscription status) in accordance with their own privacy policies.
RetroCam is not built around selling advertising profiles. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. If this changes in a future version, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.
We use device permissions and purchase-related data only to:
Photos, videos, and app preferences stored locally remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. Purchase records are retained by Apple, Google, and/or RevenueCat according to their policies and legal requirements.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Store and purchase infrastructure (Apple, Google, RevenueCat) may process data in countries other than your own. By using the App, you understand that such processing may occur subject to applicable law and those providers’ terms.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of RetroCam. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
RetroCam provides creative camera tools, vintage/film-style filters, gallery features, and export options for personal, non-illegal use. Features may change over time as we improve the App.
You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law and must comply with Apple App Store and/or Google Play terms when obtaining the App.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal or internal creative use, subject to these Terms and the store’s rules.
You retain ownership of photos and videos you capture or import. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to capture, import, edit, and share that content. Do not use the App to create or distribute unlawful, infringing, or harmful material.
Pro features may include additional film looks, higher grading intensity, watermark-free exports, media import, date stamp controls, and other benefits described in the App. Exact entitlements may evolve; the App will show what is unlocked for your account.
You agree not to:
The App relies on third parties such as Apple, Google, and RevenueCat for distribution and purchase processing. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to those services.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that filters/exports will meet every creative expectation on every device.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP FEATURES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $10, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the App. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations) will survive termination.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country provide otherwise.
